Plumbing being installed into the 3-d panel walls, it is best to cover or project the copper from the cement or wire mesh with tape of some type of coating if copper is used.

Electrical conduit and electric outlets have been installed, it is very important to check all boxes and make sure they are all set square and plum and set out at the right depth to receive the Portland cement finish. I some time place cement on two sides of each outlet before the full cement placing crew starts, this way I know each outlet is set perfectly in place and the finish will be perfect.

Levels are necessary tools, but each 3-d panel will set different, use a string line set off the wire mesh approximately one inch site down the line from one end to other set 3-d panels plum and straight off string line, it is best to fasten all flat mesh after the line has been set and 3-d panels set plum this is very important!

Cutting 3-d panels, many tools can be used, beam cutting saws with larger blades diamond edged blades Makai makes a 16” beam saw also skill saws or saw alls will work.

A small air compressor will work with this tool, the clip holding the hog rings is a clip of approximately fifty hog rings, it makes setting the 3-d panels go very quickly, a close up view of the jaws.

Hog ring tool, us use Stanley Bostwich, they make as excellent tool with ¾ inch jaws, we use a 16 gauge hog rings with this tool, we can furnish this to you at a good price and also the hog rings.

End nippers are one of the most popular tools, channel lock make’s a very good tool, I prefer the larger pair, I believe to be 10 inches long, they have more leverage and can be used to cut the wire mesh and tie the panels together with tie wire.

Small saws are a mush and can be used to trim the polystyrene foam back with out damaging the foam to much.

Glove’s are a must, the wires are very sharp also eye protection when cutting the panels with a saw, and ear plugs, I am old guy and have poor hearing, please consider using ear plugs to protect your hearing when cutting the 3-d panels, also be safety minded and keep a neat clean project, it will reflect on you and your finished project! Safety is always important!

Portland cement being applied, a mixture of Portland cement with 3 to 4 parts sand and one part cement usually depending on the sand, try not to use lime as it will weaken the mix, on this project a small pump was used to spray the cement mortar mix, ask us about pumps we can help. Scaffolding is also another item to consider as you will need scaffolding!
