If another coat of cement, stucco, or some type of cement finish is to be applied this flute is used as it leaves the cement a little rough and the next coat will bond to it.

Red rubber flute, the rubber is thicker and harder than the soft green flute. This flute works the same as the green. The texture is usually heavier and not quite as fine. This flute can also be used as a trowel for some finishes.
